Adoptable
Animals
As a hospital we feel very strongly about doing
our best to find homes for strays or surrendered animals that come
our way. We keep these animals until we find
them a home, or until we find the appropriate organization that specializes in
certain breeds that require extra care in their placement. We
are also fortunate to have several other options for our “foster
children”. They include
local shelters, and animal groups that step forward to assist us
by taking these animals into their organization until they are placed.
All of our foster animals are examined, provided medical treatment
if needed, tested for
FELV/FIV, spayed or neutered, and vaccinated. We
also do our best to house train them before they leave. Because of our
top-notch kennel staff these animals blossom into loving, sweet, easy-going
personalities, waiting to become a family member.
This program receives support through very generous
Mile Hi Animal Hospital clients, and through the $100.00 adoption donation. Adoption
fees are deposited into our MHAH Animals
In Need Fund, which
is used to pay for the medical care provided by MHAH.
While we don’t always have foster animals available,
keep checking, because you never know if the pet you are
looking for is waiting for you at Mile Hi!
